Park Info

K9COLA

The bulk of the Cheyenne Park Off-Leash Area was destroyed by flooding in the summer of 2008; we have now (November 2008) received word from the City that at least part of the park will be restored with funds from FEMA. At this time (September 2008 – present), the main yard and the small dog yard are no longer open; please do not use these parts of the park.

However, the 1-1/2 acre training yard is open for all dogs and their owners and you are encouraged to come out and play! The city is again providing limited maintenance and volunteers are always needed to help with emptying trash containers. No permits are being sold until a new agreement can be worked out with the city, but please remember you are still expected to make sure your dog is up-to-date on all vaccinations, to pick up after your dog, and to abide by the park rules.

The parking lot is open and there is a port-a-john available.
