K9Splash!

K9Splash, Cedar Rapids' first dog swim, will be held at Jones Pool on June 26, 2004 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (rain date June 27). The event will be co-hosted by K9COLA and the Cedar Rapids Recreation Department. Admission for K9COLA members will be only $5/dog; if your dog has a Park permit, admission will be $6/dog. All other dogs will pay $7 to swim! (What a great reason to join K9COLA and to buy your pups permits!)

SWIM SPECIAL: Registration fee is waived for event volunteers! Volunteer to help for a 2-1/2 hour shift, and you and your dog get to play free for the other 2-1/2 hours! You'll be able to pre-register at Ambroz Recreation Center to avoid long lines the day of the event (phone 286-5731 and have your credit card ready; fax registration form, signed waiver, and proof of vaccinations to 286-5732; mail completed registration, waiver, and vaccination records to: Cedar Rapids Recreation Department, 2000 Mt. Vernon Rd. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403 (mailed registration must be postmarked by 6/22/04); or stop by Ambroz and register in person).

Dogs without permits must provide proof of vaccinations; everyone will need to sign a waiver. K9COLA will have souvenir towels available for a $10 donation.
