Wish List:
At this time, unless donors specify something else, most donations will be going toward design and construction of a new park to replace Cheyenne Park, which was lost to flooding in June 2008. A critical need is funding for fencing. Additionally, donations help support our email newsletter, which keeps everyone informed about upcoming events, fundraisers, changes in park policy, and volunteer opportunities. Members and park users also get dog care and training tips and park etiquette reminders. Sign up for the e-newsletter at our Home page. Once we have a new park, donations will help K9COLA to add improvements and amenities. At Cheyenne park, donations helped fund benches, shelters, and trees. In 2004, two shelters were purchased by K9COLA and installed by the City. In 2006, doggie playground equipment was installed. In 2007, K9COLA cooperated with a local Scout Troop on an Eagle Scout project and built a storage shed at the park. K9COLA welcomes donations designated for specific items (contact us for details and ideas), and particularly needs donations of time and skills (are you an landscape architect, accountant, carpenter, plumber, or contractor?; can you operate a Bobcat?, etc.). |
